Clean Eating Brownies
I am torn between eating healthy and enjoying the foods I love. I have been researching on how to create substitutes that taste like the “real thing” and have a few recipes that look awesome that I cannot wait to try.
The other day I told my dessert making queen of a daughter I wanted to make a few clean eating brownie recipes and told her what most people use as substitutes. The silence quickly made me realize that this project would be me on my own.
While I am not sure how black beans and coffee grinds will taste in a dessert, I will try it to see if I can find a healthier version of a dessert I make at least once a week. (I normally always have a pan on the stove top for us to pick at as we walk by.)
This week I am going to make a pan of brownies while the family is still asleep and not tell them what they are made with. (I will report back on the results.)
Above are the 10 clean eating principles, which most we already follow without even thinking about it. #6 and #10 are the principles that I personally have a hard time with. Drinking more water is easier to do than #10, I just don’t think about drinking a lot during the day. We really don’t eat a lot of processed as most everything is fresh using fresh produce. But… the chemically charged foods has me thinking about what is in my pantry that would fall under this principle.
