Back when I used to sell Pampered Chef, one thing I learned and loved is how to cook bacon in the oven.
How to Cook Bacon in the Oven
What makes cooking bacon in the oven stand out over the old frying pan method is:
- It cooks and ends up perfectly flat — perfect
- I don’t have to worry about grease splatters all over my stovetop, wall and myself
- I can cook more at one time
- The bacon cooks more evenly so there isn’t crispy/fat pocket / crispy/fat, etc.
- I have the ability to leave it while it cooks rather than standing over a pan full of hot bacon grease
Do I need to continue or is enough to convince you that you need to learn how to cook bacon in the oven?

I just bought several packages of Oscar Mayer bacon at Walgreen’s {of all places!} about a week ago. They had it on sale for $8/2 and I THINK I had a coupon for it {old age prevents me from remembering}.
Now, normally I would have bought this at Walmart by price matching the drug store price but I didn’t because I had several Walgreens register rewards to use. By using my register rewards, all my bacon was FREE.
mmmm… bacon…. free bacon! It doesn’t get better than that — am I right?!
What is your favorite way to eat bacon? Mine are listed below:
- Bacon by itself
- Bacon with pancakes
- BLT minus the lettuce and tomato {BAH!}
- Blue cheese wedge salad topped with LOTS of crispy crispy BACON!!
