The Kia Optima Hybrid was the most fun to review because I was able to absolutely screw with my family while laughing on the inside hysterically.
When the car was delivered to my home I got it the Optima Hybrid to pull it into my drive way and the car wouldn’t start. Panic sat in… and more… and more. I couldn’t get the car to start. Then, I realized after many tries is that the car is so quiet, you don’t know that the car is running! Oh what fun when I asked each family member “Hey will you go start the car to get the heat going?” Bwhahahaha
The Optima Hybrid has all the bells and whistles on the dashboard that you could possibly want. And, when it is lit up at night you feel like you are in an airplane… it’s so cool! Everything on the dashboard, center console, steering wheel was logically laid out for me unlike other cars I have driven which has you pulled on the side of the road trying to find cruise control, etc.
With a son that is 6’1″ we were able to skip driving our SUV and drive the Optima Hybrid as the family car with everyone comfortable not only in the front, but also in the back seat too. My husband did try to fit 3 grown men in the back seat and that didn’t work too well {but hey… one of the guys is 6’4″ and the other two were not much smaller!}.
The interior of the Optima Hybrid feel like pure luxury with heated leather seats, Bluetooth wireless, Infinity Audio system, Sirius/XM radio, double sunroof, and more!
Bob played with this console for a while trying to figure it all out – talk about a kid in a candy store. At stop lights, as the car was start to excel, etc. he was constantly watching to see which energy source the car was using and when. With the hybrid option, you have to love the 36 MPG in the city, which is most of our driving here in Las Vegas for us.
From Kia:
With an upgraded powertrain, the Optima Hybrid delivers truly satisfying performance and impressive fuel economy.
This car is “cut” and very sexy for a sedan and as seen above, the interior meets the exterior for the look and feel of luxury.
From Kia:
It’s the hybrid with true style—inside and out. With a sleek, sculpted body, an interior both spacious and luxurious, and an impressive blend of power and fuel efficiency. Average? Hardly.
For the feel of a luxury sedan, the Kia Optima Hybrid give you that PLUS a great price and gas mileage. {Can you say TRIFECTA!}
At this time, the Kia Optima Hybrid is the front runner for our next car to purchase for the family. Priced in the mid $20’s this car definitely fits our budget. The only thing I didn’t like about this car is that it isn’t in my driveway permanently!
